| Description : | Here’s a chance to investigate three different types of appliqué without taking a class.
Becky Dickson will introduce you to machine appliqué, including fusible and turned edge. Becky Campbell will show you her hand appliqué technique of using freezer paper on the top, and Celeste Lipp will show you hand appliqué using freezer paper on the bottom. All three methods can be used in the “Roses of Remembrance” Block of the Month.
This is not a class, but a detailed demo that will help you decide which method you prefer. All three techniques are offered as separate classes after this Appliqué Medley. |

But, between this adorable fabric and the templates and CurveMaster Presser foot, it’s pretty funky looking, and a snap to make! With the CurveMaster foot, I curve pieced 80 blocks in 1 ½ hrs! Take this class and you’ll learn how to be fast, but very accurate! A FQ bundle of 20 makes a quilt 56” x 63” without borders, a perfect throw for the holidays. Oh, guess what? It looks great in Batiks, Asians or brights!! |

| Description : | For owners of the HQ ProStitcher on an HQ16, Avante or Fusion. The first day will cover all aspects of using your Pro-Stitcher, including resizing, rotating, repeating, perfect positioning and downloading of designs from the Internet. The second day will focus on the Quilt Cad, where you will learn to use the amazing QuiltCAD software to edit designs that come with your Pro-Stitcher, combine existing designs, create a pantograph, and create your own designs. Students will also learn to convert an existing design (from ceramic tile, carpet, decorative ironwork or clipart) to a stitchable Pro-Stitcher file. You will use your laptop for the second day, so be sure you have a mouse to use and the latest version of the QuiltCad (v2.16.6) installed. The upgrade is available free at http://www.handiquilter.com/prostitcher. QuiltTrends has just a couple laptops available to share, so call quickly. Class fee is $100 for both days, lunch included. |

| Description : | Dive into new fiber adventures! Try the newest techniques for coloring, embellishing, and manipulating fiber and fabric. In this class you’ll make 8” by 10” samples or “pages” that you can keep as reference or use for a soft book, quilt, framed piece, or other projects. Paint with Dye-na-Flow, making pieces that look dyed but are easy to produce. Use Paintstiks to shade, stencil, rub, and draw onto fabric. Make Angelina shreds and film into glitzy little accents for wall hangings. Print with Lumiere paint, using sponges, brushes, leaves, etc. for texture and beautiful sheen. Make gorgeous silk roving into handmade fabric with inclusions like ribbon and silk pieces. Use Lutrador and heavy interfacings for funky books and decorative items. Three types of photo transfer, both high tech and low tech, will allow you to add new detail to your clothing and wall pieces. Foil for fabric, used in new ways, adds a splash of color and texture to all kinds of things. Susan is an extremely talented artist and the foremost authority on surface design. You’ll not want to miss this class! Join the fun!! Cost is $125 for both days.
