Chrome Microtex Needles are made for use with high speed machines, or any machine sewing through fusibles: the chrome does not heat up, so the fusible doesn’t melt which causes thread breakage.
Microtex Needles have a very slim acute point great for batiks and 100% cotton fabrics. Resists heat and wear, stays cooler longer with less stitch distortion. Allows the thread to pass through the needle eye with less friction and less heat build-up. Allows the needle to pass through the fabric with less resistance.
How often should you change your needle? If you can hear it thumping, or if you can’t remember when you last used a new needle, you’re probably WAY overdue! Typically, a needle lasts about 8 hours, or one whole day of sewing. Needles are about the least expensive part of a sewing machine, so be kind to your machine: change the needle!
